6:15 - 7:00 pm - Dan Schawbel

Dan will talk about his personal story on how he was able to reposition himself in a Fortune 500 company after building his brand outside of work. He will then go over different obstacles he faced, some lessons learned and future predictions.

7:00 - 7:45 pm - Panel

This panel will be moderated by Stever Robbins and the panelists are Doug Haslam, Sarah Long, David Barrett and CJ Bowker. The discussion will be around personal branding in and outside of the office and how to build your brand, without isolating your company. The panelists represent different aspects of business, including legal, finance, PR and HR. With this diverse crowd, there is sure to be an interesting discussion.

7:45 - 8:30 pm - Dan Zarrella

Dan will share his experiences on how he was able to craft his own brand as a viral marketing scientist, as well as how he got his current job, and a book deal. He will highlight key social media marketing concepts from his book that you can take advantage of in your job and in your career.

8:30 - 9:00 pm - Book signing and networking

Both Dan Schawbel, author of Me 2.0, and Dan Zarrella, author of The Social Media Marketing Book, will have copies their books for a special signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Stever Robbins - Moderator

Stever is the host of The Get-It-Done Guy’s Quick and Dirty Tips to Work Less and Do More (#1 in business category 11/07, top 20 overall, 12/07). Stever has been a businessperson and entrepreneur since the late 1970s. Stever co-founded the early internet success story FTP Software, and has been a part of nine high-tech start-ups, four IPOs, and three acquisitions. He was COO for Building Blocks Interactive, and project manager at Intuit, where he co-led the development of the award-winning Quicken VISA Card. He currently serves as CEO of Stever Robbins, Inc., where he coaches executives and high-potential leaders. Stever is also a former member of the career coaching staff at Harvard Business School.

Doug Haslam - Panelist

Doug is a media and communications professional with a career dating back to 1989. Starting as a jazz DJ, then cutting tape and pointing fingers (in a non-accusatory, rather more of a “cue-speak now!” manner) at public radio’s best, he embarked on a technology public relations career just in time to ride the Internet bubble. Now engaged whole-heartedly in social media, he has been plying the PR trade, as well as Twittering, blogging and podcasting, most recently with SHIFT Communications.

Sarah Long - Panelist

Sarah is a Boston area HR professional at Soundbridge Group. She enjoys social media, culture and arts. Her experience is in college campus recruiting, strategic sourcing of external talent, and she has a passion for career coaching and training. Follow her on Twitter or read her LinkedIn profile.

David Barrett - Panelist

David is a Massachusetts civil litigation attorney who boasts the world's largest LinkedIn Attorney Network. His blog "The LinkedIn Lawyer" explores where social media and the legal profession meet. CJ Bowker - Panelist

CJ is an independent financial professional specializing in executive benefits and succession planning. He is shaping his own brand in the financial world. Social Media has become more than just a hobby of his. He consults for Evolution of Wealth as well as recently starting his own blog "The Life of an Insurance Salesman".
